A woman fought off a perv who attempted to rape her on an East Harlem street this week in a random early evening attack, cops said.
The victim, 40, was walking near the corner of East 131st Street and the Harlem River Drive around 5:15 p.m. Wednesday when the creep suddenly grabbed her, tossed her to the ground, pulled down her pants and tried to rape her, police said.
The woman struggled with her attacker and managed to break free of his grip, cops said. The assailant then took off.
The victim was taken to Mount Sinai Morningside with a bruise on her head, police said. She has since been treated and released.
The suspect was last seen wearing an orange knit cap, a black hooded jacket with a Nike and NFL logo on the front, a white T-shirt with a black shirt over it, black pants, black sneakers and a surgical mask.
